ABOUT
Stephen T. Rabaut received his B.S. from Michigan State University in 1976, and his J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1980. He is a sole practitioner in Macomb County, Michigan exclusively in the area of criminal defense representation. Stephen Rabaut's criminal practice includes both State and Federal Courts.
In addition to his membership with the State Bar of Michigan, and the Macomb County Bar Association, Rabaut is a fellow of the American Board of Criminal Lawyers and a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He was the 2008 recipient of the Leonard R. Gilman Award from the Federal Bar Association for the Eastern District of Michigan which is awarded to an outstanding practitioner of criminal law, and the Civility Award in 2012 from the Macomb County Bar Association.
Stephen Rabaut is currently serving on the Michigan Supreme Court Committee on Model Criminal Jury Instructions, and the Macomb County Community Corrections Advisory Board. He was a previous member of the Representative Assembly for the State Bar of Michigan as well as the Judicial Qualifications Committee for the State Bar of Michigan.
He is a past President of the Macomb County Bar Association and a past member of the Board of Directors of the Macomb Bar Foundation.
